Seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to support K-12 students in a dynamic New Orleans school setting for the current school year contract.
This role focuses on providing essential speech and language services to enhance students’ communication skills, working directly within the school environment to evaluate, treat, and support diverse student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct therapy services to students with speech and language impairments
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to address student goals
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to creating an inclusive learning environment
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience providing SLP services within school settings across K-12 grades
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and school personnel
- Ability to adapt strategies to meet the needs of a diverse student population
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to special education and speech services
