Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Kelso, WA
Step into a vital role supporting students from elementary through high school for the 2026-2027 academic year. As a contract Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll collaborate with educators and families to foster communication growth in children and adolescents with a range of mild to severe disabilities. This is an onsite, full-time position working Monday through Friday (7 hours per day).
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the Washington State Department of Health
- Washington State OSPI ESA certification with SLP endorsement (fully licensed)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC)
- Experience with school-based settings strongly preferred
- Ability to work with diverse caseloads, including a variety of disabilities and communication needs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Your Impact & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students across elementary, middle, and high school
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations of students’ speech-language needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal requirements
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to maximize student success
- Deliver services for students with a spectrum of disabilities, adapting interventions as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert input on student progress
