Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLP licensure required
- Experience or strong interest in working with school-age children (K-12)
- Ability to efficiently manage a caseload of approximately 60-65 students
- Bilingual Spanish speakers highly preferred
- Thorough understanding of IEPs, progress monitoring, and collaborative goal setting
- Flexibility, strong communication skills, and a team-centered approach
- All candidates must complete TEA fingerprinting prior to start
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language services to assigned students
- Participate in the assessment, development, and implementation of IEPs
- Partner with teachers, staff, and families to ensure students’ progress
- Document services, maintain records, and report on student development
- Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and student support sessions
- Deliver therapy and support exclusively onsite (no virtual work)
This contract position starts August 10, 2026, and continues through May 21, 2027, with a workweek of up to 37.5 hours. The role will be based at a single school campus, offering a manageable environment to develop meaningful relationships and make a difference.
