Make a Difference in Student Communication Development
We're seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to deliver comprehensive assessment and intervention services to elementary students (grades K-4) across Maine through innovative virtual platforms. This fully remote position combines clinical expertise with scheduling flexibility.
The Opportunity
- 35-hour weekly commitment to student services
- Caseload of 48-58 students with diverse communication support needs
- Full remote operation with secure telehealth infrastructure
- Virtual delivery of evaluations, therapy, and consultations
Your Work
Each day brings new challenges and opportunities in communication development. You might conduct a comprehensive language evaluation for a kindergartener with expressive language delays, deliver group articulation therapy to third graders, and consult with a first-grade teacher about classroom-based language strategies. Your work directly impacts students' academic success, social development, and long-term communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive speech and language evaluations using remote assessment protocols
- Develop individualized therapy plans targeting identified communication disorders
- Deliver individual and group teletherapy sessions
- Monitor progress and modify treatment approaches based on student response
- Consult with teachers on classroom accommodations and communication strategies
- Partner with families to support communication goals at home
- Maintain organized clinical documentation and records
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team conferences
- Address articulation, phonological, language, fluency, voice, and pragmatic communication needs
About You
You have a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and hold ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). Your active Maine licensure demonstrates your commitment to current practice standards. With 2+ years of school-based SLP experience, you understand the intersection of communication development and academic success.
