School Speech Language Pathologist - Richmond, Texas
A full-time speech-language pathologist (SLP) position is available within an elementary school setting in Richmond, TX. This contract role spans the current school year with an assignment scheduled through June 4, 2026. The position requires an active Texas SLP license and prior school-based experience. Candidates without VOCO certification will not be considered.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license (license verification required)
- Previous experience in school-based settings
- Familiarity with special education populations, including autism and behavioral challenges
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads and evaluations
- Bilingual skills preferred, especially for itinerant roles
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students’ speech and language needs
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) and referral meetings
- Provide direct therapy services and referrals as appropriate
- Manage a caseload of approximately 58 students (campus-based option)
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies
- Attend meetings and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals

- East Houston area: multiple elementary campuses
- Southwest Houston: Herod Elementary (5627 Hason St, Houston, TX 77096)
Job Details:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- Contract through June 4, 2026
- Two role options: itinerant (assessment/evaluation focused) or campus-based (therapy driven)
- Remote interview via Microsoft Teams (15-30 minutes)
