A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Kansas City, MO, working onsite at an early childhood center specializing in a program for students with autism. This position runs from ASAP through the end of the school year (May 28th) and offers a caseload of approximately 35 students. Experience with AAC devices is a valuable asset for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to young children within a specialized early childhood setting.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students with autism.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
- Document therapy sessions and track student outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with families and staff to promote student growth.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Missouri SLP license (or eligible, including Clinical Fellows).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience in school-based speech-language pathology, especially with autism spectrum disorders.
- Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
- Ability to work onsite in a collaborative early childhood setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Location and Schedule:
- Position is located in Kansas City, MO.
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Onsite work only, focusing on early childhood students.
