School Speech Language Pathologist - Blue Springs, Missouri
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an early childhood center specializing in supporting students with autism in Blue Springs, MO. This on-site role offers the opportunity to work closely with young learners in a specialized program, focusing on delivering targeted speech therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized speech-language therapy to a caseload of approximately 35 students with autism
- Utilize Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices to enhance communication for nonverbal or minimally verbal students
- Collaborate with educators and specialists to develop and implement effective treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Missouri SLP licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred but not required; newly certified clinicians welcomed
- Experience working in a school or early childhood center setting, particularly with autism spectrum disorder
- Familiarity with AAC devices and strategies beneficial
- Ability to work onsite full time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Location and Schedule:
- Position located in Blue Springs, MO, within the North Kansas City school district
- Contract position available ASAP through the end of the school year (May 28th)
- In-person attendance required, primarily serving young children
