About the Speech-Language Pathologist Role
In this role, you will provide evaluation and treatment services for students with speech, language, articulation, fluency, and pragmatic communication needs. You will work closely with special education teams, classroom teachers, and families to support student progress and ensure compliance with federal and state education requirements.
Responsibilities include conducting assessments, delivering therapy services, developing and monitoring IEP goals, maintaining documentation, and participating in multidisciplinary meetings. This position is well suited for SLPs who thrive in school-based settings and value collaboration and structured practice.
Requirements for the Role
Candidates must meet Missouri education, certification, and licensure requirements, including:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Active Missouri Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the Missouri Board of Registration for the Healing Arts

Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) Speech-Language Pathologist certification or eligibility

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred

Experience providing school-based speech and language services

Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams

Completion of Missouri school district background check requirements
