Job Overview

Full-time, school-based travel assignment in a Kansas City district. You’ll provide direct therapy, collaborate with educators/families, and support student communication. Contracts typically follow the academic calendar, with potential extension or reassignment.

What Does a Travel Contract Mean?

Travel SLP contracts are temporary assignments, usually for a semester or full academic year. They let you serve districts needing coverage while receiving non-taxed housing and meal stipends, competitive pay, and flexibility to relocate when your contract ends. Extensions or renewals may be possible.

Responsibilities

  • Perform speech, language, and communication evaluations according to district guidelines

  • Design and implement IEP goals

  • Provide therapy in both individual and group contexts

  • Track student progress and manage documentation

  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to support communication

  • Participate in IEP and team meetings

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

  • Missouri SLP licensure (or eligibility prior to start)

  • CCC-SLP preferred; CFY candidates welcome

  • Experience in school or pediatric settings is a plus

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Compensation and Benefits
