Details:
- Location: Kansas City, MO
- Full Time: 37.5 hours per week
- Caseload: Age group and caseload to be determined. The district likes to discuss more details at the time of interview to see the best fit.
Requirements – Applicants Must Meet All Local and State Criteria:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid Missouri SLP License issued by the Missouri Board of Healing Arts
- Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) Speech-Language Pathologist Educator Certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates may be considered depending on district
- Up-to-date TB test, background check, and fingerprint clearance
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience is a plus, especially in early intervention settings
Responsibilities:
- Provide remote speech and language therapy to students in K–12 settings
- Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations using teletherapy platforms
- Develop and manage IEPs in collaboration with school teams
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation in compliance with state and district policies
- Regularly consult with educators, parents, and support staff
- Adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs in a virtual environment
