School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist Opportunity
Are you a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students? We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic SLP to join our dynamic team within a supportive school environment.
About the Position:
As a School-Based SLP, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders in children and adolescents. You will collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and provide evidence-based therapy to help students achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations of students' communication skills, including articulation, language (receptive and expressive), fluency, voice, and social communication.
- Diagnosing communication and swallowing disorders.
- Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) with measurable goals and objectives.
- Providing direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to integrate communication goals into the classroom curriculum.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date student records and documentation.
- Participating in IEP meetings and other relevant school-based meetings.
- Staying current with best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility for certification.
- Experience working with school-aged children is preferred.
- Strong clinical skills in assessment and treatment of a wide range of communication disorders.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, student-centered services.
