Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Junction City, OR
Make an impact supporting students’ communication and language development as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the school setting. Working closely with educators, families, and a multidisciplinary team, you’ll help students thrive by identifying needs and providing tailored interventions.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure or eligibility
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Previous experience in a school environment preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress reporting, and collaboration with special education teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build positive rapport with students, parents, and staff
- Comfortable working with diverse student populations and age groups
Primary responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on evaluation results and IEP goals
- Deliver direct and indirect therapy services in classroom and small group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and required reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Provide education and resources to families and staff on effective communication strategies
- Stay informed of best practices and updates within the field
