School Speech and Language Pathologist | Cottage Grove, Oregon
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide leave coverage through June 12, 2026, at a school located in Eugene, OR. This role is onsite and involves supporting students within a diverse special education service area that includes speech-language, augmentative communication, behavior consultation, and services for students with moderate to severe disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, and at-risk youth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language pathology services to students with a wide range of communication needs, including those with moderate and severe disabilities.
- Implement and support the use of augmentative communication systems, both low and high tech.
- Collaborate effectively with students, parents, teaching staff, and other service providers to develop and modify individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation in compliance with school and district policies.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a supportive educational environment.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Oregon teaching license with a Speech Impaired or Communication Disorder endorsement and/or a State of Oregon Speech-Language Pathology License.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with low and high tech augmentative communication systems preferred.
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License required.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- First Aid/CPR certification may be required.
