Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP endorsement required
- Accepting candidates with CCC or CFY credentials
- Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP procedures and ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for elementary and middle school students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique needs
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services aligned with students' goals and educational requirements
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multi-disciplinary teams to monitor and communicate student progress
- Maintain thorough and timely records in alignment with school and state guidelines
- Educate school staff and families on strategies for supporting students’ communication skills
