School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Joliet, Illinois
A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to serve in an educational setting located in Joliet, IL. This full-time contract role is focused on providing early childhood speech therapy services onsite, with part-time candidates also being considered. Ideal candidates will demonstrate expertise in school-based speech-language pathology, including experience with Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), and teletherapy modalities, although this position requires onsite service delivery. The role does not involve working with Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs).
Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLP certification, ideally with CFY or CCC credentials.
- Experience providing speech-language services in school settings, particularly early childhood.
- Proficiency in teletherapy methods is a plus, but services will be onsite.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively support students’ speech and language development.
- Ability to work independently in an onsite school environment.
Location: Joliet, IL – onsite only in a school setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized speech therapy plans for early childhood students.
- Collaborate with educators and staff to support student progress.
- Keep accurate records and reports on student evaluation and therapy sessions.
- Participate in meetings and professional development as required by the contract.
