Speech-Language Pathologist in Joliet, IL
A K-12 school in Joliet, IL is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive speech and language services throughout the contract school year. This role requires someone with strong expertise working within school settings, supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade to improve communication skills and achieve academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support students’ progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student outcomes
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP development
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Experience working as an SLP in K-12 school settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders common in pediatric populations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize responsibilities effectively
