A maternity leave coverage opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in school settings. This contract role serves K-12 students and offers the chance to support speech and language development in a dynamic educational environment. Assignments are located in multiple Illinois locations, including Joliet and Willowbrook, with a start date as soon as possible through approximately May 28th, 2025. Exact end dates and caseload details will be provided during the interview process and depend on specific school placements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy and assessments for K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student communication goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and state regulations
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Endorsement
- Active Illinois Speech License
- SLPs at any career stage are encouraged to apply, including Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Experience working within school settings preferred but not mandatory
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Position Details:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
