Pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist in Joliet, IL
This opportunity is for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to provide maternity leave coverage at multiple elementary schools within a special education consortium serving various districts in Illinois. These positions focus on working with students in structured learning environments catering to children with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities.
Location:
- Several classrooms across multiple elementary schools in the Joliet, IL region, including Clarendon Hills, Willowbrook, Downers Grove, and Westmont.
Contract Duration:
- Approximately January 26, 2026, through June 5, 2026 (end dates vary depending on assignment).
Work Schedule:
- Full-time hours ranging from 35 to 37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver Speech-Language services to 3-4 self-contained classrooms within the Structured Learning Environment program.
- Support students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual Disabilities.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement individualized treatment plans.
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Endorsement.
- Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology license.
- SLPs with Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) experience or fully certified CCCs are encouraged to apply.
- SLPAs with relevant credentials are also considered.
- Previous experience working in school settings with pediatric populations is preferred.
