Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Joliet, IL
A school district in Batavia, Illinois is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time, temporary maternity leave assignment. This opportunity offers the chance to support K-12 students in a dynamic school-based setting from February 2, 2025, through May 5, 2025, with a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to a diverse caseload of K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to enhance student communication outcomes
- Document progress and maintain accurate records according to district policies
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Illinois license as an SLP-CCC or SLP-CF
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement preferred
- Previous experience in a school-based environment is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with staff, students, and families
- Ability to handle a diverse caseload with individualized care
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week
- Assignment period: February 2, 2025 – May 5, 2025
