Speech-Language Pathologist in Joliet, IL
This opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve K-12 students in a vibrant school setting. The role focuses on supporting elementary and middle school programs, particularly students in Autism programs, providing essential speech and language services tailored to their unique communication needs.
Position Details:
- Location: Burbank, IL
- Contract Duration: August 13, 2025 – May 27, 2026
- Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM
- Caseload: Approximately 35-40 students, primarily elementary and middle school-aged children
- Position Availability: 2 full-time SLPs (2.0 FTE)
Required Qualifications:
- Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License
- Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Experience in school-based speech-language pathology preferred, with an emphasis on Autism spectrum programs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized speech and language evaluations and treatment plans
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal regulations
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance service delivery
