A contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to cover a leave of absence at an elementary school in Chicago, IL. This role focuses on providing speech-language services to students in kindergarten through 6th grade. The position begins in January, with the opportunity for shadow days in December, and is expected to last until March 2.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois SLP license
- Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school settings
- Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology practices for elementary-aged children
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy to K-6 students based on their IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and district regulations
- Monitor and report on student progress regularly
- Participate in team meetings as required
