Speech Therapist in Joliet, IL
A special education cooperative in Joliet, IL, is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an in-person contract position from August 18, 2025, through June 2, 2026. This role involves working with K-8 elementary students exhibiting social/emotional disabilities who are fully verbal and independent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to approximately 30 students on the caseload
- Deliver services as outlined on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), typically 120 minutes per month or 30 minutes per week per student
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student performance
- Participate in relevant meetings and trainings as required
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois professional license to practice as an SLP
- Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois
- Experience working with K-8 students, especially those with social/emotional disabilities, preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
Work Schedule and Location:
- Full-time contract position supporting K-8 grades, 35 hours per week
- Position based in Joliet, Illinois
- In-person attendance required
