Pediatric School Speech and Language Pathologist | Joliet, Illinois
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available serving K-12 students in a school district near North Naperville, IL. This itinerant position involves working across multiple school sites to provide therapy and support for students primarily diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or Intellectual Disabilities. The contract begins ASAP and runs through May 22, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students ages 5–22 years old
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine student needs
- Develop and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
- Monitor and document student progress consistently
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary educational and clinical teams
- Travel between assigned school sites with paid travel time
Position Details:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday through Friday)
- Itinerant caseload with variable student numbers
- Contract, school calendar year (CSY) position
- Interviews conducted via Zoom or in-person with opportunities available immediately
Qualifications and Credentials:
- Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License (SLP or Clinical Fellowship Year - CFY)
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Experience with school-aged populations; preference given to candidates with experience supporting students with ASD and Intellectual Disabilities
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Successful fingerprinting and background check completion required
