Speech Pathology - Bethlehem, PA
A temporary speech-language pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide onsite coverage for an FMLA leave within a K-12 school setting in Bethlehem, PA. This contract role offers an opportunity to support a busy caseload while assisting students with speech and language needs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification, preferably with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Experience working in school settings (K-12) with children and adolescents
- Strong caseload management skills, capable of handling approximately 60 students
- Ability to deliver individualized therapy and collaborate with educators and families
- Current licensure to practice speech-language pathology in Pennsylvania
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in the school district
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans tailored to individual student needs
- Document progress and communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and administrators
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal education and health regulations
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support student success
Work Details:
- Location: Bethlehem, PA (Jim Thorpe Area School District)
- Duration: January 5, 2026, through approximately April 3, 2026 (subject to district SLP’s return)
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Caseload: Approximately 60 students during the current medical leave, with potential for extension
