A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in an elementary school setting located in New York, NY. This role offers a full-time schedule with 37.5 hours per week over five days, supporting students from Pre-K through 8th grade. The contract begins ASAP and concludes on June 12, 2025.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing speech and language therapy to a caseload of 20 to 35 students
- Conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing intervention strategies
- Collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student communication needs
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports
- Participating in team meetings and professional development opportunities
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid SLP certification/licensure appropriate for school-based practice
- Experience or interest in working with a diverse student population ranging from Pre-K to 8th grade
- Ability to provide services in a school environment
- Recent graduates are welcome; on-site supervision is available for those requiring additional support
- Strong communication and organizational skills
