Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Duties

  • Conduct evaluations and provide therapy services for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in a virtual setting

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student needs

  • Collaborate virtually with teachers, families, and other service providers to support communication goals

  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary

  • Provide virtual training and resources to staff and families on communication strategies

  • Participate in virtual IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations

  • Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements

Federal and State Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

  • Current Florida SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required (or CFY under supervision)

  • Experience providing virtual or teletherapy services preferred

  • Strong communication, technology, and organizational skills

  • Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Florida school districts
