Requirements & Qualifications

  • Active Louisiana Speech Language Pathologist License required
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program required
  • Strong proficiency with virtual therapy platforms and remote technology
  • Experience with teletherapy or virtual service delivery preferred
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational teams
  • Understanding of special education laws and IEP processes
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection required
  • Appropriate home office setup for virtual services
  • Personal laptop/computer for service delivery
  • Commitment to full-time independent contractor status (35 hours per week, Monday-Friday) [some part-time opportunities available]

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students via virtual platforms
  • Provide direct teletherapy services through individual and group sessions using secure remote technology
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting communication goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams through virtual meetings and platforms
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert insights to educational planning processes
  • Provide consultation and training to school staff on communication strategies via virtual platforms
  • Monitor student progress through virtual assessments and adjust intervention approaches as needed
  • Support students with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices through virtual training
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all state and federal regulations
  • Deliver 100% remote speech and language services to Louisiana students

Compensation & Contract Details

  • 1099 independent contractor position
  • 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday schedule
  • 100% remote work from anywhere in Louisiana
  • As a 1099 contractor, you are not eligible for benefits
