Position Overview
Jackson Public Schools is currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our Special Services team. This is a full-time, school-based role serving students across various campuses. As an SLP in our district, you’ll work closely with students, families, and educators to assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders, helping students reach their full academic and social potential.
Key Responsibilities

Evaluate students for speech, language, and communication disorders.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEPs.

Provide direct therapy services (individual and group).

Collaborate with teachers, school psychologists, and other support staff.

Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals.

Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary planning.

Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with district and state guidelines.
Requirements
-
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Mississippi teaching license with 215 SLP endorsement.

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; CFs encouraged to apply.

Previous experience in school or pediatric settings is a plus.

Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
