Provide speech-language support for elementary and possibly preschool students in a well-supported school setting.
This contract position offers an opportunity to deliver direct speech therapy services to students in grades 3 through 5, with a caseload of approximately 50. The role primarily focuses on providing therapy, while existing staff will handle IEP meetings and evaluations. There may also be a possibility of supporting a nearby preschool site with a small group of 2-3 children, as well as a self-contained K-12 classroom with 8-10 students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy to a diverse student population.
- Collaborate closely with a team of three other SLPs to ensure consistent support.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 50 students.
- Provide services for students primarily in 3rd to 5th grade, with potential preschool and K-12 self-contained classroom support.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working in school settings, preferably with elementary-aged children.
- Ability to work independently within an established team.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Location: Jackson, MI
Details:
- Contract duration: February 9, 2026 (or ASAP) through May 29, 2026.
- Workweek: 33.75 hours, including two 15-minute breaks (does not include a 30-minute lunch).
- This is a maternity leave position requiring immediate availability.
