Provide specialized speech-language therapy services in a K-12 school setting, supporting students primarily in grades 3 through 5, with potential involvement in a nearby preschool site. This role requires delivering direct therapy to an approximate caseload of 50 students, focusing exclusively on service provision while other staff manage IEP meetings and evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy to students in a self-contained classroom environment (8-10 students) and general education settings.
- Collaborate with a team of three other Speech-Language Pathologists to ensure continuity of care and professional support.
- Implement therapy plans aligned with district goals and student needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Experience working in school settings with elementary-aged children, ideally grades 3-5, and familiarity with preschool populations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary educational team.
- Ability to manage and organize a caseload of approximately 50 students, providing consistent and effective therapy sessions.
Position Details:
- Location: Dexter, Michigan.
- Employment type: Contract for full semester maternity leave coverage.
- Start Date: February 9, 2026, or as soon as possible.
- End Date: May 29, 2026.
- Hours per Week: 33.75 (includes two 15-minute breaks; lunch is unpaid).
- Caseload serves students in self-contained and general education classrooms and a small preschool site.
