Blazer Jobs is actively partnering with public school districts across New York State to hire licensed and committed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for the 2025–2026 school year. Position Overview

As an SLP in a New York school, you'll play a key role in supporting students’ development of language, speech, and communication skills essential to their academic and social success. You will collaborate with special education teams and classroom educators to assess student needs and implement individualized supports through IEPs.

We are actively hiring across the state, including New York City, Buffalo, Rochester, Albany, Syracuse, Yonkers, and surrounding regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete speech-language assessments in compliance with New York State Education Department (NYSED) guidelines and Part 200 of IDEA

  • Provide direct therapy services aligned with student IEPs, both individually and in groups

  • Develop, monitor, and adjust treatment plans as needed

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation for Medicaid billing and state reporting

  • Participate in CSE (Committee on Special Education) meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

  • May oversee Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) as permitted by New York State licensure laws

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences

  • Valid New York State SLP license and NYSED certification (TSHH or TSSLD)

  • Understanding of IDEA, IEP procedures, and school-based therapy practices

  • Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred

  • Must meet district-specific fingerprinting and background check requirements

  • Full-time and part-time openings available

  • Contract positions for the 2025–2026 academic year (August–June)
