This full-time contract opportunity serves a single elementary school site in Pittsburgh, PA, supporting students ages 3 through 8th grade. The caseload includes children with autism, requiring expertise with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices. Candidates must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct speech therapy services to students, including those with autism spectrum disorders
- Integrate AAC devices effectively into therapy sessions
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain detailed documentation and comply with school and regulatory requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certification with CCC credential
- Experience working within school settings, particularly elementary levels
- Proficiency with AAC devices and technologies
- Familiarity with serving students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder
- Strong communication and organizational skills
