School Speech Language Pathologist - Irving, TX
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a bilingual (Spanish) Speech-Language Pathologist supporting elementary students in a vibrant academic setting. This position is available immediately and continues through May 27th, offering a schedule from 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM, Monday through Friday, with a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours. You'll serve an engaging caseload of 65 students from Pre-K to 5th grade, providing impactful services that promote communication, literacy, and social success.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Current SLP licensure in Texas
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship (CFY) in progress
- Experience working with elementary-age children, specifically those in PK-5
- Familiarity with IEP processes, documentation, and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations for students across Pre-K to 5th grade
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services based on each student's needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure comprehensive support
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing professional insights and recommendations
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and legal guidelines
- Support and advocate for equity in communication access for bilingual and Spanish-speaking students
