Speech Language Pathologist in Irving, TX
Step into a dynamic onsite opportunity serving students as a Speech Language Pathologist throughout the ’26/’27 academic year. This full-time, contract role places you at the forefront of supporting communication needs in a school-based environment, collaborating closely with teachers, staff, and families to foster student progress.
You’ll utilize your expertise in SLP-CCC to conduct thorough assessments, develop tailored intervention plans, and carry out engaging, evidence-based therapy sessions for students with diverse speech and language needs. Your background working in schools makes you well-equipped to navigate IEP processes, document student growth, and adjust strategies to best serve each individual.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid, active SLP-CCC certification
- Relevant state licensure to practice as an SLP
- Proven experience delivering services in a K-12 school setting
- Strong knowledge of current assessment tools, therapeutic practices, and relevant educational regulations
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and organization skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive speech and language assessments
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Conduct both individual and group therapy sessions
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain required documentation
- Work closely with educators and caregivers to support student success in academic and social settings
