Speech and Language Pathologist in Plano, TX
A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a contract position serving K-12 students in a dynamic school environment located in the Plano, TX area. This position requires work across two neighboring campuses and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' educational and communication development.
Key Qualifications and Requirements:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Texas Speech-Language Pathology License
- Experience and comfort in attending Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings
- Knowledge of school-based speech therapy practices and protocols
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload including consultative and direct therapy sessions
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language evaluations, therapy, and consultative services to students across Intermediate and Middle School levels
- Serve Intermediate level caseload with a mix of consult-only and direct therapy sessions (10 consult-only students, 1 student with 10 sessions per quarter, and approximately 48 students receiving 5-7 sessions per quarter)
- Support Middle School students with consult-only services for 6 students, direct therapy for 1 student with 10 sessions per quarter, and approximately 25 students with 5-7 sessions per quarter
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams by attending ARD meetings to develop and review individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress tracking as required by state and district guidelines

- Position is based in the Forney, TX area with responsibilities at two adjacent school campuses
