A full-time bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the Spring semester within a K-12 school district in Mesquite, Texas. This contract position runs from early January to late May and requires an active Texas SLP license. The role involves providing speech and language services to students across several campuses, offering a chance to make a direct impact on their communication development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver bilingual (English/Spanish) speech-language pathology services to K-12 students.
- Serve as part of the district’s evaluation team, conducting assessments and providing interventions.
- Manage an itinerant caseload across multiple campuses with an office base at the Student Support Center.
- Utilize district resources including test kits, computer systems, and communication tools.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to support student progress.
- One day per week of hybrid work is permitted, with the remainder on-site.
Qualifications:
- Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish required for effective bilingual service delivery.
- Experience providing services in a school setting preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing a multi-site caseload.
Work Schedule and Location:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (7.5-hour days).
- On-site presence required at campuses in Mesquite, Texas, with one remote workday allowed weekly.
