A temporary opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide expert services in an elementary school setting in Irmo, SC. This contract position is designed to cover a leave of absence and offers the chance to deliver vital support to young learners during this period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to maximize student progress.
- Provide teletherapy sessions as needed to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all services provided.
- Support students across diverse needs, including those with pediatric speech and language disorders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or relevant credentials for SLP or SLPA roles.
- Experience in school-based speech-language services.
- Pediatric speech therapy experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with teletherapy delivery methods.
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred for SLP candidates.
- Ability to work efficiently in a school healthcare setting.
