Pediatric School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Paintsville, Kentucky

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contract position at a K-12 school located in Paintsville, KY. This role offers an opportunity to serve students from kindergarten through grade 8, along with select high school students who utilize AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices. The position begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the current school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience working in healthcare and pediatric settings
- Familiarity with teletherapy service delivery
- Completion or near completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Prior experience providing speech-language services in a school environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services primarily to K-8 students, including those with AAC devices in high school
- Conduct teletherapy sessions as needed to support student progress
- Collaborate with educational staff, families, and other professionals to support individualized learning plans
- Manage and complete Medicaid billing accurately and timely
- Maintain appropriate documentation and track student progress following school guidelines
