A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support elementary students in an onsite role in Indio, CA. This contract position runs from ASAP through the end of the current school year, offering a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. The position involves working primarily with a caseload of approximately 55 students ranging from PreK through 5th grade across one elementary school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech therapy services to PreK-5th grade students at an elementary school
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments, track progress, and document therapy outcomes
- Support communication development and address speech-language disorders to enhance student success within the classroom
Qualifications:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License required
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school or healthcare settings preferred
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology is a plus
- Strong understanding of school-based therapy and familiarity with district or state-specific requirements
- Ability to work onsite and engage effectively with students and school personnel
