Speech and Language Pathologist - Independence, MO
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available in Independence, MO, serving an early childhood center within a school environment. The caseload includes approximately 35 students in a specialized program focused on children with autism. Experience with AAC devices is beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy to young children with autism
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement individualized education plans
- Utilize AAC devices as appropriate to support communication development
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports
Qualifications:
- Valid Missouri Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required; Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Recent graduates (CF) are welcome to apply
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with early childhood populations
- Familiarity with AAC device usage is advantageous
- Ability to work onsite full time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM
