School Speech and Language Pathologist | Rockville, Maryland
A dynamic opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services within a K-12 school setting in Rockville, MD. This contract position is ideal for professionals ready to support student communication development across multiple school locations with a focus on individualized caseloads throughout the academic calendar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students in elementary and middle schools.
- Manage caseloads efficiently across multiple schools, including Dayton Oaks Elementary, Ellicott Mills Middle School, Thomas Viaduct Middle School, Jeffers Hill Elementary School, Laurel Woods Elementary School, Burleigh Manor Middle School, and Hammond Middle School.
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist license required.
- Experience as a School-based SLP is preferred.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to work on-site; virtual candidates will not be considered.
- Flexibility to start mid-February, April, or May, based on the school's schedule needs.
- Commitment to contract through June 12, 2026, with potential extension into the 2026-27 school year for those with positive performance.
Schedule & Location:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
- Positions require in-person service delivery across various schools in Howard County.
