Speech Language Pathologist (Leave Coverage: October – December)
Location: Huntsville, AL Area
Pay Range: $33 – $38 per hour (based on experience)
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists to provide leave coverage for a school district assignment in the Huntsville, AL area from October through December. We are seeking candidates with a passion for helping students achieve communication goals and the flexibility to step into an existing caseload seamlessly.
Requirements:
Applicants must meet all Alabama and local requirements to be considered:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution

Active Alabama Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the Alabama Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (ABESPA)
-
Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) Professional Educator Certificate in Speech-Language Impairment (Class A or B)
-
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
-
Prior school-based experience strongly preferred

Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in alignment with IEP goals
-
Assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders including articulation, language, fluency, and voice
-
Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines
-
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom environment
-
Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student needs and progress
-
Adapt quickly to an existing caseload and maintain continuity of care during leave coverage
