A contract opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is available to provide essential support to students within a school setting. This role involves delivering quality speech therapy services either in-person or via teletherapy, fostering communication development among children in elementary and middle school environments. The position starts immediately with assignments at Warwick Elementary and North Dorchester Middle School, while an opening at Choptank Elementary begins April 1st. The contract concludes on June 10th, 2026.
Location: Huntingtown, MD
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
Contract Duration: Immediate start through June 10th, 2026
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Provide therapy services tailored to each student’s needs, including direct and teletherapy interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall educational goals of the school
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathology license required
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Ability to deliver both in-person and teletherapy services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to supporting diverse student populations and fostering inclusive learning environments
