A contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available working with students in a school setting through teletherapy and in-person services. This role supports educational programs and provides essential speech and language therapy to diverse student populations.
Location: Huntingtown, MD (Teletherapy and On-Site at Warwick Elementary School, North Dorchester Middle School, and Choptank Elementary School)
Position Details:
- Contract length through June 10, 2026
- Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week
- Start dates: Immediate openings at Warwick Elementary and North Dorchester Middle, and April 1st start at Choptank Elementary
- Work primarily within public school settings, providing individualized and group speech therapy sessions
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Experience delivering teletherapy and in-person therapy services in a school environment
- Strong knowledge of educational speech therapy standards and protocols
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, parents, and educators
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in students K-8
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies
- Adapt therapy techniques for teletherapy sessions as needed
- Participate in team meetings and coordinate with educational support staff
