A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for maternity leave coverage at an elementary school in Houston, TX. The role involves managing a caseload of approximately 100 students, with support from a bilingual SLP Assistant who works three days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and collaborate with the bilingual SLP Assistant in service delivery.
  • Conduct speech and language evaluations.
  • Attend Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) only Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Valid CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology) licensure.
  • Experience working in school settings preferred.
  • Ability to supervise SLP Assistants effectively.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Commitment to on-site work, as remote or virtual coverage is not permitted.
