Requirements & Qualifications
- Active Louisiana Speech Language Pathologist License required
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program required
- Strong proficiency with virtual therapy platforms and remote technology
- Experience with teletherapy or virtual service delivery preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational teams
- Understanding of special education laws and IEP processes
- Reliable high-speed internet connection required
- Appropriate home office setup for virtual services
- Personal laptop/computer for service delivery
- Commitment to full-time independent contractor status (35 hours per week, Monday-Friday) [some part-time opportunities available]
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students via virtual platforms
- Provide direct teletherapy services through individual and group sessions using secure remote technology
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting communication goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams through virtual meetings and platforms
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert insights to educational planning processes
- Provide consultation and training to school staff on communication strategies via virtual platforms
- Monitor student progress through virtual assessments and adjust intervention approaches as needed
- Support students with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices through virtual training
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all state and federal regulations
- Deliver 100% remote speech and language services to Louisiana students
Compensation & Contract Details
- 1099 independent contractor position
- 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday schedule
- 100% remote work from anywhere in Louisiana
- As a 1099 contractor, you are not eligible for benefits
