Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Houston, TX
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers for full-time positions with partner school districts in the Houston, TX area. We are looking for passionate educators who are committed to providing quality instruction and support to students with exceptional needs. Qualifications & Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following Texas state and local requirements:

Valid Texas Educator Certificate in Special Education (EC–12 or appropriate grade level)
-
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
-
Completion of an approved educator preparation program (EPP)
-
Passing scores on the TExES Special Education EC–12 (161) exam and other required state assessments
-
Clear background check and fingerprinting through the Texas Education Agency (TEA)
-
Previous experience in a special education classroom setting is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
-
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
-
Deliver specialized instruction and accommodations in resource, inclusion, or self-contained environments
-
Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to promote student success
-
Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet varying abilities
-
Track and report on student progress toward IEP goals
-
Participate in ARD meetings, staff development sessions, and team planning
-
Ensure compliance with IDEA, TEA regulations, and district policies
