Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - HYBRID School-Based Opportunity in Houston, TX
Join Our Team as a Hybrid School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist
We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Speech-Language Pathologist to join our school-based team in a hybrid capacity. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to provide essential speech and language services to students while balancing in-person and remote work responsibilities.
In this role, you will be an integral part of our educational community, working collaboratively with students, families, and school staff. You will be responsible for a range of duties typical of a school-based SLP, adapting your approach to meet the unique needs of each student within a hybrid service delivery model.
Key Responsibilities May Include:
- Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify students' speech and language needs.
- Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the educational team.
- Providing direct and indirect speech and language therapy services through a combination of on-site and virtual methods.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support student progress and generalization of skills.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation related to student services.
- Participating in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Appropriate state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA is often preferred.
- Experience or a strong interest in working with a pediatric population in a school setting.
- Comfort with utilizing technology for remote service delivery and documentation.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
