SLPA Supporting Diverse Student Populations
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based team for the [insert school year, e.g., 2025–2026]. This is an on-site position supporting students in a K–12 educational setting.
As an SLPA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to help students improve their communication abilities. The ideal candidate is independent, organized, and passionate about making a difference in students’ lives.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, as outlined in their IEPs or intervention plans

Collaborate with supervising SLP to implement individualized treatment plans

Collect and document data on student progress toward speech/language goals

Assist in preparing therapy materials and maintaining organized records

Support a wide range of communication needs, including articulation, language, fluency, and social communication

Communicate regularly with teachers and support staff to help integrate speech goals into the classroom

Comply with all state and federal regulations, district policies, and ethical standards of practice

Participate in staff meetings and trainings as needed
Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

Valid SLPA license/certification in the state of [insert state]

School-based experience preferred (not required)

Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with the supervising SLP

Strong organizational and communication skills
