Speech-Language Pathologist in Holtville, CA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide itinerant services across K–12 school sites in Holtville, CA. This contract role involves working collaboratively with one other SLP to serve a combined caseload of approximately 80 students, with each therapist managing about 40 students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy to K-12 students.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and related service providers to support student communication needs.
- Monitor student progress and modify interventions as required.
- Prepare and maintain accurate IEP/504 documentation, progress notes, and service logs.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide consultation to school staff and families.
- Support smooth transitions of services and coordinate efforts across multiple school sites.
- Adjust service delivery to align with district schedules and individual student requirements.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility as per the California Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board.
- Possession of or eligibility for a California credential authorizing school-based Speech-Language Pathology services is preferred.
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology, Communicative Disorders, or a related field.
- Experience working within K-12 school settings preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel between district school sites; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required if district mandates.
- Compliance with fingerprinting, background check, and other standard school employment clearances.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time schedule, 37.5 hours per week, typically 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with appropriate breaks.
- Caseload divided between two SLPs.
- Services provided across multiple campuses within the district.
