Speech Therapist in Mason, MI
This position is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC certification to provide speech therapy services in a school setting located in Mason, MI. This is a contract role, starting as soon as possible or by February 9, 2026, and continuing through May 29, 2026. The schedule includes approximately 33.75 hours per week, with two 15-minute breaks; lunch is unpaid.
Responsibilities include providing direct speech and language services to a caseload of about 50 students, primarily 3rd through 5th graders within the district. Service may also extend to a nearby preschool site serving 2-3 children and a self-contained K-12 classroom with 8-10 students. Please note that IEP meetings and evaluations will be conducted by existing district staff, allowing you to focus on therapy delivery.
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Valid SLP certification with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience working in educational settings with elementary-aged children
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team; there are three other SLPs in the district for support
- Flexibility to start on short notice to cover a maternity leave
